District Announcements
School Open Houses Are Announced
Open House events have been set. The elementary open houses at Pinewood, Little Mountain and Eastview will be held on Tuesday, September 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Monticello Middle School will host their open house on Wednesday, September 2 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monticello High School open house will also be held on Wednesday, September 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Bowling Team wins MSHL Bowling Championship
The Monticello High School Bowling Team won the Minnesota State High School League Team Championship in the P.I (Physical Impairment) Division at the State Adapted Bowling Tournament, Friday, May 15th. Team members are Kim Niskanen, Danielle Bardell, and Mathew Bouma. The team is coached by Dan Berg, adapted physical education teacher and Nicole Lucas, special education teacher.
Adapted Bowling has two divisions, CI (cognitive impairment) and PI. Students can compete in two of three categories, singles, doubles, and team competition. This is Monticello's fourth year participating in this sport. In addition to winning the State championship this year; Travis Stokes was a state champion in the CI singles division in 2009 and Shennon Thibodeau was a tenth place medal winner in PI singles in 2006. The team has grown from eight bowlers the first year to twenty bowlers this year.

On April 29th, 2009, Resource Training and Solutions held its annual Students of Excellence Awards & Recognition Ceremony at the St. cloud Civic Center. This annual event honors the area's top 168 high school seniors.
